What a Mobile Detailing Booking Page Has to Ask, and What It Has to Refuse
A mobile detailing booking page has to learn the address, the car, the detail and the time before it confirms anything, and it has to turn away any address outside your area and any time no van can make. Mobile Service Sync does all of that on its first plan. OrbisX and fieldd come closest. Mobile Tech RX does not offer customer self-booking yet.
Four Questions Before a Time Is Offered
A shop's booking page needs a name and a time. A mobile one sends a person and a van to an address, so it has more to find out first.
- Where is the car?
The address, checked against your map
The page should stop right here if the car sits outside the area you drive. Every other answer is wasted on a customer you cannot reach.
- What is the car?
The vehicle, from a plate or VIN
A compact and a lifted pickup are different jobs. A plate or VIN lookup gives you year, make and model without asking the customer to spell them out.
- What does it need?
The detail, and how many cars
The package sets how long the job runs, and a second car in the same driveway should double the time held instead of squeezing into the first slot.
- When can you be there?
A time a van can really make
Only hours you work, on days a detailer and a van are free, so nobody books a slot that someone later has to call and move.
What the Page Has to Enforce
- Your service areaThe address has to fall inside it. Without the check, the page books the forty-minute drive you would have turned down on the phone.
- Your working hoursTimes outside your day never appear, and neither do times that are already taken.
- Vans and people workingTwo vans out can take two jobs at nine. One van can take one.
- How long the job runsThe page holds as much time as the detail takes, multiplied by the number of cars on the booking.

Urable
60.0 out of 100
Mobile Tech RX
50.0 out of 100
QuoteIQ
35.0 out of 100
| On this page | From the ranking's criterion | Weight | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| Books itself, inside your area and hours | Online booking that respects your area and capacity | 50 | Half the score, because a booking page that cannot refuse an address or a time does more harm than a phone number. |
| Knows the car from a plate or VIN | Vehicle records with plate or VIN lookup | 30 | The vehicle sets the job. Knowing it before you arrive is the difference between a quoted detail and a guessed one. |
| Published price, no contract, free trial | Published price, month to month, free trial | 20 | You should be able to put the page in front of real customers for a few weeks before you pay for it. |
Levels count the same way as in the main ranking: included earns the full weight; higher plan, add-on and partial earn half; not offered and not stated earn nothing. The full rules are on How We Score.
How Mobile Service Sync Handles It
The customer books on a hosted page, or on a widget embedded in your own site. They type their plate and the year, make, model, trim and engine fill in, then pick the detail and see only the times your hours, your service area and the number of techs and vans working allow.
Each detail holds the calendar for its service's own length multiplied by the number of vehicles, so a family booking three cars gets three cars' worth of time.

Booking Questions From Mobile Detailers
- Should a mobile detailing booking page ask for the license plate?
- Yes, because the plate tells you which car you are detailing before you load the van, without asking for a year, make and model the customer may not know. In Mobile Service Sync the customer types the plate on the booking page and the vehicle fills in.
- What happens when a customer outside my area tries to book?
- On a page with a service area check, they are not offered a time. Mobile Service Sync, OrbisX, fieldd, Jobber and Urable's Pro plan all hold online bookings to an area or a radius, while QuoteIQ describes its InstaSchedule booking only as offering open slots. fieldd and OrbisX can also charge for distance.
- How should a booking handle two cars at the same address?
- It should hold time for both. Mobile Service Sync multiplies the detail's length by the number of vehicles, so a two-car booking takes two cars' worth of the day.
- What if my detailing app has no online booking?
- Then every appointment is a call or a text you answer and enter yourself. Mobile Tech RX says customer self-booking is not offered yet; every other app here has it, though Urable needs Pro at $120 a month and QuoteIQ needs Elite at $299.99.
